Engadget (Cheyenne MacDonald, 7 Jun 2025). "cute, charming and silly as hell… a pretty challenging (and frustrating) physics game, but I do love a game that pisses me off a little."

Wheelsprung puts a squirrel on a very bendy dirt bike and turns it loose in a house full of scattered nuts. Each of the 34 hand-made tracks is an obstacle course: seesaws, bookshelves, loops, a tiny house in a snow globe. You collect nuts and reach the goal as fast as you can. The store page calls it "Playdate's first full physics simulation". You lean with the D-pad to pull wheelies and fight for balance, flip direction instantly, and use the suspension and momentum to find your own routes. If your helmet taps anything, the run is over. The crank isn't used in gameplay.
Programming is by Nino van Hooff. Art, sound and music are by Julie Bjørnskov, also known for Escape the Boardgame and Dance Break Dance. The store page estimates 2 to 3 hours of play, plus online leaderboards, hidden challenges and a level editor for Windows and Mac.
It came out in Week 2 of Playdate Season Two (5 June 2025) alongside The Whiteout and now sells for $10 in the Catalog.
