What it is
Pullfrog Deluxe is "a fun twist on classic arcade era block-falling games". Instead of rotating pieces from above, you play a frog inside the well. You use your sticky tongue to pull falling blocks into place, and strike them repeatedly to break them so they fit. You can only pull, not push, and if a block lands on you, you're dead. Turning the crank makes pieces fall faster, but it's optional. There are power-ups, different piece types, secret characters "that'll change the way you play", adjustable starting speed, a Zen mode, and global or local leaderboards.
It's by Amano (AFK Mario and Joven Paul), the team behind Devils on the Moon Pinball and Season Two's CatchaDiablos, and it grew out of a Pico-8 original. It's been in the Catalog since November 2023 at $8 and was still being updated in 2025. The Playdate Podcast covered it. The content note mentions "allusions to death".
