"Late at night, along a road you never noticed, you may find a strange yellow device. Don't pick it up." Outside Parties is "an audio/visual horror scavenger hunt across a huge 1.44-gigapixel 360° panoramic HDR image of a realm beyond our own". You pan and zoom around the image, using the crank to change the brightness and reveal things hidden in shadow or glare. There are 150 targets to find, and each one unlocks a voiced, subtitled audio log that adds to the story. Engadget describes "skeletons of human, animal and paranormal origin… a Stonehenge of teeth". Nothing needs precision or speed, fonts are large, and the D-pad can stand in for tilt. The content note warns of "horror themes, disturbing imagery, and non-graphic violence. Not suitable for children."
It's by Adams Immersive. Simberg notes it won Best Trailer at the 2023 Playdate Community Awards, years before it shipped. It came to the Catalog in November 2025 for $13, making it one of the pricier Playdate games, and it's a Panic Staff Pick. At the 2025 Community Awards it was a finalist for Best Narrative Game and Best Sound Design.
