What it is

"After the mysterious loss of your only way to leave home, you find yourself confronted with a transformed world." In Eyeland you guide a small blob through a dream-expanded island, solving light switch-style puzzles and meeting odd characters on the way back to the waking world. The store's advice is "Have fun, that's all you need to know". It takes about an hour, uses only the D-pad and buttons (no crank), and doesn't autosave, though locking the Playdate mid-play keeps your progress. Simberg calls it one of the "quintessential early Pulp adventure games".

It's by Ron Lent, a 555 KB game for $2 (also on itch.io). The Verge counted it among the Catalog's launch titles in March 2023, and Panic lists it in "Monochrome Masterworks" and "Great Stories". Panic's staff note says a sequel is in development.
